Step 1: Schedule Your Consultation
We’ll start with a quick phone consultation; typically, it’s with Olivia Parks. She’ll ask you to send us a few photos of your closet, learn about what’s bothering you, discuss your goals, and answer any questions you have. She’ll also talk through your budget and recommend the session that best fits your project.
Then we schedule a project day for our team to come to your home to organize your closet.
Step 2: We Declutter & Organize Your Closet
On project day, we arrive ready to get to work. Typically, our sessions start between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. If your closet is full of items you no longer wear or need, and you want help decluttering it, we’ll start by helping you sort everything into keep, donate, and toss piles.
We bring donation boxes and trash bags to make the decluttering process as easy as possible. We can also take any small closet items you want to donate to a local donation center afterward.
Once you’ve decided what stays, we’ll organize everything in your closet in a way that fits your daily routine. We’ll group similar items together, maximize your existing storage, and create simple systems that make it easy to find what you need and put things away when you’re done.
Depending on the size of your project, you may work with one organizer or a team of organizers during a 5- or 5.5-hour session.

Most of our clients’ closet organizing projects typically take 1-2 sessions. Clients who want help organizing multiple closets in their home will typically need larger sessions.
What’s your approach for organizing custom closet systems?
Our approach to organizing a custom closet system is really the same as our approach to organizing any closet.
The first thing we do is find out whether you’d like help decluttering first or if you simply want help organizing. Some of our clients have already gone through their belongings before their custom closet was installed, so in those cases we’re simply unpacking and organizing everything into the new closet. Others want us to help them declutter as we go before we begin organizing.
From there, we learn more about how you use your closet. We talk about where you’d like things stored, what you use most often, what you need easy access to every day, what can go on the higher shelves, what belongs lower down, and how you naturally get dressed each day.
Every custom closet is organized differently because every client is different. We create organizing systems based on your preferences, the layout and storage space of your closet, and the items you own.
Once we have a plan, we handle all of the physical work. We sort, categorize, fold, hang clothing, organize shoes and accessories, contain and label items if desired, and put everything away in a way that makes sense for you.
Our goal is to create a custom closet that’s not only beautiful, but also functional and easy to maintain every day.
Do I need to be home when you organize my closet?
No. You don’t need to be home when we’re organizing your closet. As far as the organizing goes, we’ll take care of everything for you.
The only time we need our clients home during a closet organizing service is when we are helping them go through and declutter their closet. Without them present, we don’t know what they want to keep, toss, and donate from their closet.
Do I need to buy organizing products for my closet?
No. Organizing products are always optional and are an additional cost.
Some of our clients can really benefit from adding organizing products to their closet, while others don’t need them at all.
First, we’ll have you send us photos of your closet. We’ll take a look at your space and everything you’re wanting help organizing. From there, we’ll let you know if we think organizing products would be beneficial and make recommendations if we think you need anything.
We’re all about not having you spend extra money if you don’t need to. But if organizing products would help make your closet more functional or maximize your space, we’re happy to recommend what might work best for you.
Of course, organizing products are always optional, but in some cases they can make a big difference in how functional and organized your closet is.
