How Our Downsizing Services Work
1. Free Phone Consultation
The process starts with a consultation with Olivia Parks, owner of Professional Organizers Baton Rouge.
During the consultation, you’ll discuss your goals, timeline, budget, and the areas of your home you’d like help with.
Some clients want support throughout the entire downsizing process, while others only need help with specific parts of it, such as decluttering, packing, unpacking, or organizing.
After learning more about your project, Olivia will make recommendations based on your goals, explain your options, and help determine the level of support that makes the most sense for your situation.
2. We Create a Plan
Every downsizing project is different.
Some clients need help downsizing an entire home before a move, while others are focused on a few specific rooms or categories of belongings.
Based on your goals, we’ll create a project plan, determine where to start, and recommend the number of organizers and sessions needed.
3. Sort & Declutter
For many clients, this is the biggest part of the downsizing process.
We’ll work alongside you to sort through belongings and help you decide what to keep, donate, relocate, sell, or discard.

4. Donation Removal
As items are decluttered, we’ll help separate donations and trash.
At the end of each session, we can take as many donation items and trash bags as we can fit in our vehicles, helping reduce the amount you have to deal with on your own.
5. Packing Assistance
If you’re preparing for a move, we can help pack the belongings you’re taking with you.
