If you’ve never hired a professional home organizer before, you may be wondering what an organizing session actually looks like.
The answer ultimately depends on what you’re looking for help with. Some clients want help decluttering and organizing their space, while others simply want help organizing it.
Either way, our goal is the same: to make your home easier to manage and create systems that work for you.

Decluttering and Organizing Services
Many of our clients want help with both decluttering and organizing spaces in their homes.
For example, if you’d like us to help declutter and organize your closet, we’ll start by going through everything together and helping you decide what you’d like to keep, toss, or donate. Once those decisions have been made, we take over and organize everything that’s staying into a functional, easy-to-maintain system.
We’ll bring boxes and trash bags to make sorting easy, and when we’re finished, we can also take your donations to a local donation center so you don’t have to make another trip.
This is a photo of the results of helping a client declutter some spaces in their home.

We drop off your items at local donation centers so others can benefit from your items.

Organizing Service Only
Many clients don’t need help decluttering at all. They already know what they want to keep and simply want their space organized.
This is what we call an organizing session.
During an organizing session, we’ll organize your space based on your goals and preferences. Whether you’re home during the session or would rather leave and come back later, we’ll take care of everything.
For example, say a client wants help organizing their closet.

If we’re organizing a bedroom closet, we may:
- Fold clothing
- Hang clothing
- Group similar items together
- Color coordinate clothing if you’d like
- Organize shoes and accessories
- Straighten shelves
- Wipe shelves if needed
- Create simple organizing systems
- Label containers if requested
Another example is a garage organizing session.

Whether you want help decluttering and organizing your garage or simply organizing it, our process is very similar. If we’re decluttering first, we’ll help you decide what to keep, donate, or throw away before organizing what’s staying.
If you’re only looking for organizing, we’ll get right to work creating systems that make your garage easier to use and maintain.
We’ll help you sort and categorize everything so it’s easy to find and your storage is set up in a way that works for you. We commonly organize tools, workbench supplies, lawn equipment, gardening supplies, holiday decorations, sports equipment, kids’ outdoor toys, camping gear, automotive supplies, memorabilia, and more.
Depending on your project, we’ll organize shelving, wipe shelves down if needed, sweep out the garage, and make sure everything has a designated home. Some clients choose to add organizing products such as bins and labels, while others don’t. It simply depends on your space, your goals, and your preferences.

No matter what area of your home we’re organizing, our goal is to create systems that are simple to maintain and make it easier to find what you need when you need it.
We Come Prepared with Supplies
Another thing you can expect during your organizing session is that on your project day, we’ll come prepared with many of the basic supplies we use throughout the day.
We regularly bring donation boxes, trash bags, Clorox wipes, paper towels, Ziploc bags, scissors, tape, rubber bands, and our label maker. These supplies are included with our services and help us work efficiently throughout your project.

Creating Organizing Systems That Last
Our goal isn’t simply to make your space look organized.
We want it to function better, too.
We create simple, easy-to-maintain systems that help you find what you need when you need it. An organized space can help reduce stress, save time, eliminate frustration, and make your home feel more enjoyable to live in.
Whether it’s opening your closet without items falling out or finally knowing exactly where everything belongs, our goal is to create a home that feels easier to manage.

What You Can Expect at the End of Your Organizing Session
By the end of your organizing session, you can expect a space that not only looks better but also functions better.
Whether your project takes one session or several, our goal is always the same: to create an organized home that’s easier to maintain, saves you time and energy, reduces stress, and helps you enjoy your space again.

FAQ
What Areas of the Home Do You Organize?
We organize all areas of the home.
How Long are Organizing Sessions?
Organizing sessions are typically 5 hours, and within that time, we help you get as much done as we can within the time we are there.
What we work on in that time comes down to what our client is wanting help with (their project) and what their top priorities are. Our clients can choose what they would like us to work on within that time.
Do I Need to Be Home During an Organizing Session?
No. You do not need to be home during an organizing session. We will take care of everything.
The only time we need our clients’ homes during sessions is for a decluttering session, when we help them go through spaces in their homes and figure out what they would like to keep, toss, and donate. We can’t make decisions on what stays and goes without them present.
Will One Organizer or Multiple Organizers Work on My Project?
This depends on the size of your project, how much help you’d like, and the budget you’d like to stay within. Once we learn more about your goals, we’ll recommend the session option that we think is the best fit for your home, timeline, and budget.
How Long Does an Organizing Project Take?
Every organizing project is different. Some projects can be completed in a single session, while larger projects may require multiple sessions.
During your consultation with Olivia Parks, she’ll ask about your goals, have you send photos of your space, and discuss your timeline. From there, she’ll recommend how many organizers she believes you’ll need, approximately how long the project will take, and which session option is the best fit for your project.
That way, you’ll know exactly what to expect before your project begins.
Do you offer organizing services for people with ADHD?
Yes. We offer ADHD organizing services.
Yes. While the organizing process is similar to our other sessions, we place extra focus on creating simple, easy-to-maintain systems that fit the way you naturally live. We often use clear bins, labels, and other visual storage solutions to make it easier to see what you have, put things away, and maintain your space over time.
Do you offer organizing services for the holidays?
Yes. We offer holiday organizing and decorating services designed for busy families and individuals to make the holiday easier and less stressful.
Are There Any Additional Costs?
Our home organizing services are paid for upfront, so there are no surprise service charges during your project.
The only optional additional cost is for organizing products, such as store bins or totes.
Many of our clients don’t need organizing products or simply want to use what they have, but if you’d like them, we’re happy to recommend them. We’ll simply ask for your budget beforehand and stay within that amount whenever possible.
